Fall Lipstick Love

In the fall and spring is when I usually completely change my makeup. I like to transform my tinted foundations and pink lipsticks for darker lipsticks and plum toned blushes. Personally I love lipstick and in the fall and winter is when I really get good use out of some of my favorites. So without further ado I wanted to share with you some of my favorite fall lipsticks.

YSL Sheer Candy in Mouth Watering Berry

This is one of my favorite lipstick colors... and I’m talking about of all time ladies! This has a great such a beautiful berry stained look that is absolutely incredible. I love that this one has no shimmer because it feels smooth on the lips. Interesting fact but these babies have hyaluronic acid which make them incredibly moisturizing and conditioning. Unfortunately I’m almost finished my tube and although I’m not looking forward to shelling out the ridiculous amount of money these cost I know I will because in my eyes they are definitely worth it.  

Revlon Lip Butter in Raspberry Pie

This is a beautiful med toned raspberry pink shade that is incredibly wearable. I love to wear pinks in the summer, so for me a darker pink makes an easy transition color between seasons. I find that Revlon Lip Butters have a similar consistency as the Dior Lip Addict lipsticks, and for a fraction of the price it makes them a fantastic deal. But back to Raspberry Pie it’s a definite must for the fall.

Chanel Charactere

Holy moly I love this color and I can already sense this is going to be a color I reach for a lot this season. I’ve talked about this before in my Fall Makeup Wardrobe post, but basically this is a dusty rose that balances between dark and natural. Which means you can create a look using this, yet you won’t overthrow a dramatic eye look by wearing this color either.

Chanel Gabrielle

This is one of those online cult lipsticks that I got persuaded to buy. Since then my mom has bought it, my friends have bought it ... and for one good reason it’s a great shade of red. Unlike other reds I own I find Gabrielle is the easiest to wear, because of the flattering color and it doesn’t smear. This is a great color for any season but I honestly gravitate towards this in colder months.

Guerlain Shine Automatique in Rose Ponpom

Over the Christmas last year I used hal

f of this in a span of three weeks. I swore to myself that I would not touch this until fall and here I am, ready.
Sorry to sound creepy... I’m just excited!

And that just made everything sound worse so back to the topic on hand!
This is a shimmery sheer rose that is great to swipe on your lips for a little color. If you like the feel of Chanel Rouge Coco Shines you would like the consistency of these and might want to check them out.

Sunday GO-GO

Today was an early Sunday, well at least for me. After doing some cleaning and losing track of time Jay and I had an appointment with our builder to finalize some details in our home. Our home unfortunately won’t be ready for a year, but we are still excited none the less. After that we went to Paradise Farms Beef Bistro for lunch. All I can say is amazing! The staff, the atmosphere and the food (especially the food) was all fantastic and we can’t wait to go back.

Today I opted for a barley there makeup look not because I wanted to but because I only had five minutes to get ready. For days like these I use my well loved MAC Mineralize Skin Finish Natural and buff it on my Skin. I love how quick this is to apply and unlike other powders it doesn’t emphasis dry areas in my skin. Next I added some MAC Retrospeck and Mascara to my eyes. Finally I added BECCA Glossy Lip Tint in Sugar Plum to the lips and the cheeks. This color looks crazy in the tube but when applied it looks like a sheer stain. The transparency of the Tint makes it brilliant to add a touch of color to the cheeks. Is it just me or does anyone else do this trick?  That was basically it for my look... oh and plenty of dry shampoo. Tonight I am going to paint my nails in Deborah Lippmann’s Bitches Brew. Bitches Brew is a great blackened red and if you’ve read my fall makeup wardrobe you probably know I’m a sucker these colors.

On a non makeup related note, I blogged about the Black Orchid and Amber Target candles this week. I just wanted to keep you lovely ladies posted the biggest candle is on sale for $3.89 right now. So if you have a Target close it’s a great time to pick up one of these.

Fall Makeup Wardrobe

 First and far most I love fall. There’s something about the turning colors of leaves, pumpkin spice lattes and my birthday that makes me super excited for the season. Like most of us beauty nuts I have seasonal makeup changes, which means in the fall I tend to wear darker colors and heavier scents. Each year I return to my trusted favorites. So keep reading if you want to know what I am excited to use this fall!

Juliette Has a Gun, Lady Vengeance Perfume  

All I can say is this holy amazing rose. This might be one of my favorite fragrances of all time. It’s like a dark rose scent that has notes of vanilla and patchouli. I would definitely describe this as a modern take on a classic rose perfume. I tend to gravitate towards this one in the fall just because it’s a little heavy for warmer weather.  

Bath and Body Works Candle in Leaves

I buy a few of these at the start of every fall season, burn 1 and preserve the rest for special occasions. What makes this candle so epic (at least to me) is the sweet cinnamon scent mixed with tart apples and sweet berries. I’m actually smelling this candle as I type... and if you think I’m burning it NO, I’m actually just smelling it unlit, like to my face! Good candles will make you do crazy things, let me tell you!

NARS Sin Blush

When I start wearing darker lip products in the fall I find my cute pink blushes just don’t cut it anymore. If you’re pale NARS Sin is just the perfect golden plum to wear if you’re wearing a dark lip. The formula is this product is amazing all around an amazing product.

Chanel Caractere Lipstick

This is like a dusty rose shade that is dark enough to add definition yet subtle enough to not over power your look. I look forward to wearing this amazing color to work in the upcoming months.

Chanel Black Cherry Glossimer

This is a new one to my collection. I like that applied lightly this looks like a stain yet you can apply it heavily to get a very opaque look. This just seems like a multipurpose product I can throw into my purse and wear day or night. 

Illamasqua Scarab

I’ve blogged about this years ago (one of my first posts) and I still love this. I am very attracted to metallic black reds like this, but I find the Illamasqua has the best application and unique hint of green. I can’t wait for the weather to cool a little more so I can start wearing this.

YSL  Volupte Sheer Candy Lipstick Mouth Watering Berry

Last but certainly not least I can’t wait to start wearing YSL’s Sheer Candy in Mouth Watering Berry. Unfortunately I am almost done my tube of this. All I can say is this gives you that amazingly stained sort of look, but without that dry discomfort. I must say this has to be one of my favorite lip sticks ever.
