Modern Bohemian

Hey everyone hope your week is going well.

I really like everything bohemian and wish I can roam the world with peace signs on my face.

Unfortunately I can’t do this (at least not every day)! So my goal to create and modern boho look that was easy to slap on and lasted all day. 

First I started by buffing in Healthy Mix Serum Gel Foundation to the skin. I start in the center of my face and then work it out. I really like this foundation it has a light medium coverage without looking cakey or weird. This foundation also last’s all day without a primer, eliminating one step! After my foundation I applied Clinique Airbrush Concealer underneath my eyes and blend it in with my fingers. Next I use NARS Laguna bronzer in the hollows of my cheeks and finish with MAC Margin Blush. I really like the look of these two products they give a nice healthy bronzed glow without looking overdone. Now with the face finished I use By Terry Ombre Blackstar Cream Eyeshadow in Bronze Moon. I dot the product on the outside corner of my eyes then blend it out using a MAC 217 brush. Not only does this give a gorgeous shimmery Smokey look but it’s the longest wearing cream eye shadow I’ve tried. I finish up by using some mascara on my top and bottom lash’s (yes the Essence one!) and apply Clinique’s Chubby Stick in Mega Melon.

                                                                                                                         

I really like how quick this is to apply and the longevity of the products.

Lazy Sunday

Hey everyone, hope everyone is having an amazing weekend. I have been so busy this week that I decided to take Sunday afternoon off and have “girl time”.

*girl time- is the time where women watch silly girly show's and indulge in beauty treatments.

Fresh Rose Face Mask

So I started off the afternoon by using a face mask. I got a sample of Fresh Rose Face Mask and thought I would use it. This mask is described as being a hydrating toning mask that feels cool when applied. I would say this mask defiantly performs. What I like is it didn’t irritate my skin and left it baby soft. My only dilemma was the scent; it smells like pickles and rose. I will be using my sample happily but based on the scent won’t be purchasing.

Philosophy Mango’s and Cream Body Lotion

I like philosophy body lotions I find they moisturize well and absorb quickly in the skin. Also they are a great value for how much product you get.  The Mango’s and Cream scent not only smells divine but lasts forever.

Essie Nice is Nice

I usually gravitate towards pastels in the spring, but something pulled me towards this today. Spring or not this is a great purple that is a great balance between bright and pastel. 

Well that's pretty much my day I also ate pizza and talked on the phone.

My top 5 drug store products

I love when I find products that rival prestige brands at the drug store. I’m not someone who compromises on quality or would ever recommend a subpar product.

Here are my top 5 truly amazing drug store products

Essense I love extreme crazy volume mascara

I know I mention this in every post but it is seriously that good. It makes my eyelash’s long and full of volume without flaking or any of that funniness. The formula is a perfect balance between wet and dry and the tube doesn’t magically dry out overnight. It’s to this date the best mascara I’ve tried and recommend it to everyone.

Rimmel Scandal Eyes in Nude

I have tried nude eyeliners in the past and I’ve found them either too dark or way to light. Nude seems to be the perfect fit making my eyes look bright yet natural. The formula does not hold back it’s both creamy (glides along the waterline amazingly) and long lasting. If you’ve ever been curious about nude eyeliners this is a great one to pick up.

Maybelline Great Lash in Clear

I have been using this to set my brows every day for years. I like that this product is clear, non-cakey and light weight.

On a side note have you ever tried a brow wax that makes you feel like you have eye brows like Mr. Potato Head? Horrible horrible feeling!

Back to topic this is a fuss free product that works incredibly well at taming eyebrows.

L'Oreal - Colour Riche Caresse Wet Shine Stain in Rose on Rose

I’ve tried other colors from this line without the same luck as Rose on Rose. Rose on Rose is a pretty pink with gold summer, when applied it looks like a shimmery but natural pink tint. Although is an excellent color what wins me over is the long lasting moisturizing formula.

Bioderma Sensibio

The water like fluid removes makeup without irritation or any strange residue. It feels like water on the skin but removes makeup extremely effetely. I have gone through numerous bottles of this and highly recommend this product.

I know in the States Sensibio is hard to find but for Canadian readers I buy mine at Shoppers Drug Mart or Rexall.

So without further ado this is what I carry with me day to day. 

 

Trash

 Trash in my purse contains candy wrappers, receipts and random pieces of garbage I collect throughout the day. This week it happens to be a ticket stub and takeout menu.

Moleskin Agenda

I’m forgetful so I write everything down. This is my third year using moleskin’s and what I like about the brand is how well they age.

Pens

Actually it’s mechanical pencil, pens are too permanent.

Cell Phone and back up battery

I use a Blackberry Z10 and overall I like it.

Advil Packet’s

Having Advil with you is always a must. I like the individually wrapped one’s because they don’t spontaneously open.

Key’s

A must if I’m going anywhere!

Change purse

I got this change purse year’s ago at a Mark Jacobs store in Los Vegas. I paid less than $20 for this and it’s still holding up decently today.

Wallet

This is where I keep my cards and cash. I have been using this Cole Haan wallet for two years now. My advice to someone who wants to maintain their wallets would be getting a change purse. Change destroys wallets!

Sunglasses

Right now I’m wearing my Tom Ford Campbell sunglass’s in black. 

IPod Classic

Classic ha! My ipod has been everywhere with me and it still work's like a dream. I have over 6000 songs on this baby and I'm not ready to trade her in yet. 

Makeup Case

The makeup case I use is a Balenciaga one. Don’t be fooled I got this as a gift with purchase when I bought my Balenciaga perfume.  Usually I keep whatever lipstick I am wearing that day (and some random ones too!) but I always carry my La Vanilla Pure Vanilla roller ball perfume, a hand cream and my NARS Beautiful Life lip and cheek pallet.
