Bronzer Overview

I love bronzer! Which is strange because it’s something I don’t mention often yet it’s something that I wear every day. Bronzer can do a lot of us pale girls may I add not only does it add dimension but it can also add life into the skin. So here is my overview of my bronzer collection.

MAC Refined Golden
I can’t say anything negative about this because the truth is I’ve only used it a handful of times.  However, after hearing was a dupe for NARS’s Laguna I was interested to try Refined Golden. Well it turns out they are similar, however there are not dupes. I suppose I don’t use this because I have Laguna. With that being said I really need to start using this because I don’t remember it being bad.

CHANEL Bronze Universal
A huge pot of cream bronzer just seems like a terrifying idea. Get those visions of cake-y stripes out of your head because the bronze universal is a cream to powder formula and doesn’t cake in the slightest. Actually, the formula is super bendable and long wearing my problem with this has always been the color.  If you have a medium skin tone this might work well for you, because with my fair this is way too dark for me.

Dearest Chanel release more colors of this and some more paler shades of your foundation too!

CHANEL Soleil Tan De Chanel in Bronze Rose
This limited edition pallet was from a couple of years ago and I love it. All four colours work together to make a flattering light bronzy shade. All four colours also work extremely well as eye shadows too! With its multi-purpose functionality, hard case and big mirror makes this product ideal for travel. I’m almost down to the pan on this bronzer, which makes me sad because I absolutely love this stuff.

Guerlain Terracotta Mineral Bronzer
In the dead of winter when my skin is at its all-time paleness I use this. The light colour makes it perfect at giving my face definition. Actually to be honest I have never been a fan of loose powder, for a clumsy person like me it’s a disaster waiting to happen. Guerlain however have the packaging to a tee because they put mesh over the loose product which helps prevent product from flying out.  Smart people at Guerlain I tell you! Pale skin and looking for a shimmer-less bronzer, this might be one for you.

Laguna Bronzer
I have gone through 5 of or more of these over the past few years and I would say overall this is my favorite bronzer. Laguna is one of the cult products and for good reason it’s flattering bronze colour looks natural on so many skin tones. It’s pigmented, blendable and lasts for hours on the skin… Laguna is one of those products’ every beauty lover should try just once.
Be warned… it is addictive!

What are some of your favourite bronzers, leave me a comment!

  3. U've such a great collection of bronzers, major lusting going on! I've been wanting to try Chanel Bronze Universal for such a long time, but I'm also afraid it might not work for me or I won't get into the hang of applying it properly (and considering the price tag I don't know how willing I am to risk it)…x

  4. You've gathered a fabulous collection of bronzers! I'm incredibly pale, to the point of recently going up to an Estee Lauder counter and finding that their palest shade is too dark for me (I know!). The Chanel bronzer palette looks gorgeous, although if you're pale I can see why it wouldn't work for your skin tone. I've heard the Laguna bronzer mentioned quite a few times before, so if I ever decide to experiment with bronzer, I'll be sure to walk in that direction! :)

  5. bronzer always makes this pale chica here nervous! I haven't really tried too many out because of my fear of an orange complexion haha! Thanks for the recommendations!

    1. Oh the dreaded orange stripes can be horrifying.
Fear not there are a ton of great options out there.
The Guerlain one looks scary but in reality is a perfect pale colour for us fair skinned girls.
Actually right now I might be a little too dark for it...which is weird because I have never said that!

  6. Gorgeous picks, Tanya! I'm a huge fan of Chanel Bronzers, and MAC Golden was my fave for years. My top pick at the moment is Hard Candy So Baked in Hula Hula- affordable and super pretty :)
