Top 5 Favorite Lipsticks

Nothing changes a makeup look more then a lipstick. While some can make you feel sexy others might make you feel cute or playful. Some brighten can even brighten up your whole completion… I call this power of lipstick! While sorting through some tubes of lipstick it became very clear to me I have 5 distinct favourites  So what is one to do with such clarity… blog about it of course!

Dior Lip Glow

I don’t even know where to begin with this one… I’m sure everyone here has heard me ramble about this before, but in case you haven’t here we go! The Dior Lip Glow is one of those ‘self adjusting color’ lip balms. Yes, I know what everyone thinks “I’m not into gimmicks” but this is one you should be into. The Dior Lip Glow adjusts to the perfect pinky but natural shade sort of shade. All while being flatting the formula itself feels like a hydrating lip balm. Even if you don’t like lipstick I would recommend you try the Dior Lip Glow at least once.

Guerlain Shine Automatique in Rose Pompon

With their luxurious packaging, excellent shade range and hydrating formula Guerlain Shine Automatiques are everything a high end lipstick is suppose to be. The shade I always go to is Rose Pompon. This somewhat pinky yet sort of plumy color suits my skin tone to a t. It’s the kind of lip color that just magically brightens my fair skin.

If your fair I highly suggest you try out this shade it is absolutely spectacular.

Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in Boy

The Rouge Coco Shine’s are among my favorite lipstick formulas of all time.

Again they are sheer and moisturizing … do we see a trend here!

I actually have a few of these I’ve collected over the years and while they all are beautiful my favorite is Boy.

Boy is a “your lips but better shade” that Chanel describes as “universally flattering”. Boy is the kind of lip color that compliment everything from a smoky eye right down to a no makeup look. It’s like the nude lipstick for non nude lipstick wearers.

Dior Addict Lipstick in Dior Kiss

Now here is a great lipstick formula! For me the Dior Addict lipsticks are everything the Revlon Lip Butter’s I wish would have been. These sheer lipsticks are hydrating and apply smooth. While they are lightweight I wouldn’t say they feel like there going to slide off of your lips either. However what makes this a favourite is the color. I love wearing hot pinks but honestly some don’t work that well for my skin. Dior Kiss is described as being a dark pink. Personally I would say it’s a dark pink that swings more on the side of raspberry. Like the Rose Pompon this raspberry toned lipstick brightens up my completion. In comparison to the classy Rose Pompon, Dior Kiss would be the brighter and pinker younger sister.

YSL Sheer Candy in Mouth Watering Berry 

Truth is i don't have Mouth Watering Berry at the moment. I happen to use them up like no ones business so I took a picture of Luscious Cherry instead. Luscious Cherry is nice but Mouth Watering Berry is my favourite. This sheer vampy berry colour looks beautiful on pale skin. As for the formula its, gel like, moisturizing and honestly embodies everything I high end lipstick should be. Dang I need to get some Mouth Watering Berry into my life asap!
